Watch soccer games

white-water-rafting-in-costa-rica

Football soccer just drives costaricans or “ticos” crazy. Soccer is the activity that moves more people in Costa Rica over any other sport. It could be compared to the influence of American Football over the United States. Costa Rica has a professional soccer league, and it also competes in international tournaments like the World Cup, the Gold Cup, CONCACAF tournaments, the UNCAF nations Cup, and the Copa America. Also, professional matches are held approximately every 3 days, and many times when there is a match between two really good teams thousands of people come to the Stadium to see the game. Whenever Costa Rica’s national soccer team plays, people, family, and friends get together and watch and support the team. Costaricans are big fans of soccer and the best way to experience this is by going to a soccer game yourself, especially if you love soccer or sports and play yourself.
